  - The third side is 5 cm longer than the second side, so it’s x + 5 cm.

  3. x + 5

  The perimeter of a triangle is the sum of all its sides.  

   

  So, we add them up and set them equal to 50 cm:  

  2x + x + (x + 5) = 50

  4x + 5 = 50
